If you're a first-time visitor to All Saints Church and the Bay Head area, you'll find several family activities to enjoy—before and after—worship.

Right across the footbridge at the Howe Street entrance to All Saints Church is Centennial Park, which has tennis courts and a small playground. Be sure to visit the Farmer's Market in the adjacent municipal parking lot on Thursdays from 3 to 6 p.m., July through September. (Coming for worship? You can park in the municipal lot.)

For more adventure, you can try your hand at fishing, surfing, standup paddleboarding, or even parasailing. Or, you might hit the beach for some relaxation—just be sure to pick up a beach badge first (www.bay-head-nj.com/bay-head-badges.shtml).

In nearby Point Pleasant Beach, families often explore the Aquarium, arcades, sweet shops (salt water taffy, anyone?), and amusements at Jenkinson's Boardwalk.

Rainy day? Even the youngest history buffs will enjoy the New Jersey Museum of Boating (www.njmb.org) and the Vintage Auto Museum (www.vintageautomuseum.org). Check out the fine art galleries, surf shop, boutiques, and gift shops in town.
