The Rev. Robert A. Nagy
In December 2015, All Saints Church welcomed our newest rector, The Reverend Robert A. Nagy. He and his wife, Bea, who have been married for 41 years, were both born and raised in Connecticut.
Prior to his entering seminary, Robert received degrees in both marketing and respiratory therapy. He began his secular career in the hospital-based, healthcare industry; first serving as a Neonatal Intensive Care Specialist in Respiratory Therapy. Following a B.S. in management and an M.B.A. from Arizona State University, he moved into senior, executive-level management as a hospital administrator. Four years prior to seminary, he was recruited by an international management-consulting firm where he was asked to manage the Phoenix office.
Answering God's call to the priesthood, Robert entered seminary at The School of Theology of The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He was ordained a transitional deacon and priest in 1994. Prior to becoming the rector of All Saints, Robert served in churches in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and California.
In addition to his academic work, Robert holds a certificate of completion from both the Church Development Institute of the General Theological Seminary in New York City and the Arizona Dispute Resolution Association in Phoenix.
Robert and Bea have two adult children: their daughter Meredith and her husband, Michael, have two children—Robert and Bea's grandson, Thomas, and newborn granddaughter, Nora. They live in Merchantville, NJ. Robert and Bea's other daughter, Emily, lives in San Diego.
